Group ride out to Caspersen Beach and Venice Beach with five electric bikes and a great group of friends. The weather once again delivered classic Florida sunshine, making it a perfect day to be out riding. The route was filled with beautiful scenery, plenty of laughs, and smooth cruising on the Electric bikes. A local ride to test a few upgrades on the Lectric eBikes. Stephanie got a new, more comfortable seat, and Karen rolled out with a brand-new bike for the adventure. With classic Florida sunshine and perfect riding weather, it made for a beautiful cruise. We also learned a quick lesson along the way—always check that the video camera has enough space before heading out on the ride! Electric bike ride along the beautiful Venetian Waterway Park, starting at Shamrock Nature Center, connecting over to the Legacy Trail, and cruising up to Laurel Road for lunch at Island Fin Poke Company - Venice. The ride was wrapped in peaceful water views the entire way — glassy canals reflecting blue skies, light breezes off the Intracoastal, and that easygoing Florida rhythm that makes the miles disappear. LEctric E-bikes make the ride feel effortless, letting you soak in the scenery instead of watching the odometer. Poke bowls at Island Fin Poke Company - Venice made for a fresh and flavorful lunch. The gentleman behind the counter elevated the whole experience, walking us through the ingredients with great recommendations and upbeat commentary that made our midday break even better. After refueling, we headed back and made the essential stop at Detwiler's Farm Market for one of their legendary strawberry shakes. Of course, we couldn’t resist loading a half bushel of bright red strawberries into the bike basket — a sweet haul that added a little extra challenge and plenty of entertainment for the ride back to Shamrock Nature Center. The weather delivered pure Florida-special sunshine — warm, bright, and postcard perfect. Wildlife even joined the experience, with a pair of tortoises calmly grazing alongside the trail, completely unfazed by passing cyclists.
