Electric bike ride along the beautiful Venetian Waterway Park, starting at Shamrock Nature Center, connecting over to the Legacy Trail, and cruising up to Laurel Road for lunch at Island Fin Poke Company - Venice. The ride was wrapped in peaceful water views the entire way — glassy canals reflecting blue skies, light breezes off the Intracoastal, and that easygoing Florida rhythm that makes the miles disappear. LEctric E-bikes make the ride feel effortless, letting you soak in the scenery instead of watching the odometer. Poke bowls at Island Fin Poke Company - Venice made for a fresh and flavorful lunch. The gentleman behind the counter elevated the whole experience, walking us through the ingredients with great recommendations and upbeat commentary that made our midday break even better. After refueling, we headed back and made the essential stop at Detwiler's Farm Market for one of their legendary strawberry shakes. Of course, we couldn’t resist loading a half bushel of bright red strawberries into the bike basket — a sweet haul that added a little extra challenge and plenty of entertainment for the ride back to Shamrock Nature Center. The weather delivered pure Florida-special sunshine — warm, bright, and postcard perfect. Wildlife even joined the experience, with a pair of tortoises calmly grazing alongside the trail, completely unfazed by passing cyclists. The boys joined us for a fun February weekend at Walt Disney World, giving us the perfect excuse to experience some new-to-us attractions together. One of the highlights was our first ride on TRON Lightcycle / Run — fast, futuristic, and unforgettable. While we blasted through the Grid, Steph stayed behind on the viewing deck to capture this awesome moment of us. The AirXcel MaxxFan Model 00-08900N started acting up when it should have been doing the simplest thing—opening itself. Instead of automatically lifting fully when powered on, the lid would only rise about 25%, leaving the fan half-heartedly trying to do its job. Strangely, it would open all the way with the manual crank once the fan was running, so the problem clearly wasn’t mechanical. After working with Airxcel customer support, they quickly pinpointed the issue as a failing control board and shipped out a replacement under warranty.
